Repsol hired SEC Newgate EU in 2016 to organise its first-ever event in Brussels aimed at introducing the company to the larger policy-making community and debating the EU’s energy future.
SEC Newgate EU developed the “Energy for Europe Beyond 2020” event strategy which presented a clear image of the company both to strengthen existing relationships and develop new ones with key officials and industry representatives.
SEC Newgate EU secured high-level speakers including an EU Commissioner, DG Director Generals and MEPs for the event. It attracted over 100 participants, including many from EU institutions, national governments and trade bodies, and provided high-level networking opportunities including an exclusive dinner and one-one-one briefings. The event resulted in a positive image and positioning for Repsol in Brussels, including with the media.
