As the retail sector responds to technological change and new consumer patterns, ICSC (the International Council of Shopping Centers) has stepped up efforts to profile the role European retail real estate can play in helping public and private stakeholders adapt to the societal challenges facing Europe.
Having ranked those policy issues most important to ICSC’s members, SEC Newgate EU has carried out a full-range stakeholder engagement programme, identifying and reaching out to policy-makers, peers and industry leaders.
In close cooperation with ICSC’s industry experts, our work was successful in raising Brussels audiences’ awareness of the true value of European retail real estate in an increasingly digitalised economy. With sustained outreach, supported by evidence-based narratives, ICSC has become a partner of choice for decision-makers and private stakeholders alike, in shaping the discussions on various policy areas, such as retail establishment and urban regeneration.
