SEC Newgate EU is a Brussels-based advocacy and communications consultancy with global reach as part of the SEC Newgate Group.

We are looking for a talented digital communications intern to join our communications team.  This role is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Communication, Marketing, Media Studies, or a related field as part of their studies.

Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you’ll work closely with our communications team and gain experience with digital campaigns, social media management, and content production, all while sharpening your strategic communication skills.

You will:

  • Help implement digital and integrated communications projects across different practice areas;
  • Assist in the development and execution of social media campaigns (content creation, scheduling, and analysis).
  • Draft quality materials including newsletters, speaking points to engage diverse audiences;
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in digital communications.
  • Help track performance metrics to evaluate the success of campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the team on creative brainstorming sessions.

 

Qualifications and requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Communication, Marketing, Media Studies, or related program.
  • A passion for content creation, social media, and storytelling.
  • Excellent digital skills and robust knowledge of social networks.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Understanding of the European public relations and digital landscape.
  • Excellent computer skills and a basic understanding of photo and digital editing tools (e.g. Final Cut Pro, Adobe Suite, Canva.com).
  • Good organisational and project management skills, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in teams.
